Token Leasing & WAX

The WAX blockchain has three network resources — CPU, NET and RAM. These resources are necessary for transacting and running applications on the WAX blockchain. To access CPU/NET you must stake WAX or have a 3rd party stake resources to our account. Regardless, someone is required to own the WAX token to enable CPU/NET allocation.

Token leasing unlocks the ability to access a liquid secondary market for CPU/NET without having to own the WAX token. This means no exposure to price volatility of the token itself, or locking up capital that could be allocated elsewhere. Token leasing also means that token holders who don’t want to use their WAX can generate income by lending their WAX utility (CPU/NET).

Network Scaling

The Current price of CPU on WAX is very low. Most of the network CPU is owned and allocated by WAX. Immediate shortages of CPU are not expected. However, network resource conditions and prices can quickly change.

For example, gambling dApps flooded the EOS network with usage in 2018. Chintai token leasing had very little usage. But as the price of CPU skyrocketed overnight, Chintai was hosting $250M in transaction volume. This change occured within weeks.

Without Chintai during this event, most users and dApp accounts would have been unusable or too expensive for basic network actions. For these reasons, we have preemptively deployed the Chintai leasing market to account for the inevitable rise of demand for CPU on the WAX blockchain.

Preparing For The Future

Since 2018 and the first CPU shortage, token leasing has been standard practice for many users and dApps on EOS. Without the ability to lease the network would be unusable or too costly for many accounts. Token leasing has proven to be critical for scaling networks that have CPU/NET as their primary native token utility.

WAX has recently been gaining momentum and popularity since Topps and William Shatner began issuing NFT’s on WAX. We expect this trend to continue and the inevitable corresponding rise in CPU price. In anticipation of more network usage and the need for a secondary market that easily allows network resources allocation, the Chintai CPU/NET leasing market is live.

Market Mechanics

The WAX token leasing market is a “pool market” that has price fluctuations based on a “bancor style” curve. Lenders deposit their tokens into the leasing pool. If you have deposited 1% of the total WAX in the lending pool, you will receive 1% of the total borrowing fees, plus the original amount of WAX that you lended.

Assuming there is enough liquidity, anyone can borrow from the pool at anytime. As the total percentage of borrowed WAX in the pool increases, the price of borrowing will algorithmically go up. No fees for lenders. 50 WAX base fee + interest for borrowing. All loans are 30 days.

CWAX Token
Lenders deposit WAX tokens into the leasing pool smart contract and receive “CWAX” tokens in return. CWAX tokens can be redeemed for WAX tokens at any time. In return for CWAX, lenders will receive the original amount of deposited WAX tokens, plus the interest that has accrued from borrowing fees.

Note: You can never receive less WAX tokens for your CWAX. The price of CWAX can only go up, which guarantees you will never incur a loss by lending your WAX.

Borrowing
Developers and users can borrow from the WAX token leasing pool as needed. All loans will be 30 days. Interest is paid upfront at market rate. As more WAX is borrowed the interest rate will naturally increase. The price increase is based on a predetermined algorithmic formula that is designed to maintain ample liquidity in the leasing market at all times.

For Lenders

Lenders deposit WAX tokens into the leasing pool smart contract and receive “CWAX” tokens in return.
CWAX tokens can be redeemed for WAX tokens at any time.
In return for CWAX, lenders will receive the original amount of deposited WAX tokens, plus the interest that has accrued from borrowing fees.
CWAX tokens will only increase in price (same as REX on EOS).

There are no fees for lenders.

For Borrowers

Developers/users can borrow from the WAX token leasing pool as needed.
Borrowers select, quantity needed to borrow, max interest, and an account to delegate CPU/NET.
All loans will be 30 days.
Interest is paid upfront at market rate. As more WAX is borrowed the interest rate will naturally increase.

For Lenders

Login to the Chintai exchange using scatter or anchor. (Top right drop down menu.
Make sure you have selected the correct blockchain in the upper right hand corner.

After logging in, the order entry panel will appear centered below the price chart.
Make sure you have selected the correct market in the upper left panel called “Markets”. WAX is under “pool”
To begin lending you must deposit WAX into the Chintai exchange. Use the bottom left panel called “Balances” to deposit WAX. “Liquid” balance indicates the amount of WAX you have available in your account to deposit into Chintai.

Select the amount you want to deposit into Chintai, select “deposit”, and then click “submit deposit”
After successfully depositing WAX you will see your “Deposited” balance increase.
Use the order entry panel to lend WAX and unlend CWAX. Type in the amount you want to lend and click “Place Order”.
If you lend WAX you will receive CWAX tokens.
You will see your CWAX balance in the balances tab. In the example below, you can see 75 WAX are liquid (in personal account), 15 WAX are deposited (your WAX available in Chintai to withdraw, lend, or borrow fees), and 10 WAX are lended (equivalent to 9.999210 CWAX).

CWAX can be exchanged (unlend) at any time. To unlend CWAX use the Order Entry panel marked “Unlend”.
Enter the amount of CWAX you want to unlend and then “Place Order”.
After you unlend you will receive your original amount of WAX tokens plus the interest from borrowers.
You can withdraw your tokens using the “order entry” panel at any time.

For Borrowers

To begin borrowing WAX please login and deposit WAX. If you do not know how to deposit WAX please read above section for lenders.
Once you have logged in and deposited WAX you will be able to borrow as needed using the order entry panel.
Use the panel above the price chart to determine the interest rate and amount WAX available to borrow.

Select the account you want to delegate CPU/NET (the account that needs CPU/NET).
You can set a “max interest” payment to make sure you do not spend more than expected.
Place order and approve the transactions to have CPU allocated for a 30 day lease.

市场如何运行？

WAX 代币租赁市场采用了Bancor 风格的资金池模式。代币出租者存储代币，按照存入的比例，将出租的手续费收益全部分给出租者。如果用户存入了 1% 的代币，那么，他就可以得到手续费收益的 1%。在取回代币时会自动分配。

假设有足够的流动性，任何人都可以在任何时候从资金池中借款。随着 WAX 资金池中所借出 WAX 的比例增加，借款的价格会自动上升。出租方不收取任何费用。代币租借者需要支付 50 WAX 的基本费用 + 借款利息。现在租借期为 30 天。

CWAX 代币

WAX 代币持有者存入 WAX 代币到合约之中，可以获得 CWAX 作为带息凭证。CWAX 代币随时可以兑换为 WAX，并额外得到在存入期间的利息。由于 WAX 租赁池中的特殊设计，CWAX 代币的价格只会上升，不会下降，因此，出租 WAX 不用担心损失本金。

租借

开发人员和用户可以根据需要，借用WAX 代币。所有的租借期限都是30天。利息是按市场利率预先支付的。随着更多的 WAX 借出，利率自然会上升。价格上涨是基于一个预先确定的算法公式，旨在保持租赁市场在任何时候都有充足的流动性。

对代币出租者而言

无需支付手续费即可使用。
代币出租者存入 WAX 代币，获得带息代币 CWAX 作为凭证。
CWAX 随时可以换回 WAX 代币，不会有本金损失。

代币出租操作指南

登录 Chintai 代币租赁平台，可以使用 Scatter 或 Anchor 钱包登录
选择正确的区块链类型：WAX

登录后，在价格图下方，可以输入订单信息。
然后，选择正确的市场类型：WAX 属于 “pool” 类型，即资金池类型的市场。
开始出租 WAX 代币，首先，你需要将 WAX 存储到 Chintai 智能合约之中。使用左下方 “Balances(余额）”面板充值 WAX。此处， “Liquid（可用余额）”表示你账户中可以存入到 Chintai 的 WAX 代币量。

输入想要存入的数量，点击 “deposit（存入）”, 最后点击 “submit deposit(提交)”
存储成功后，在 Deposited（存款量）一栏，可以见到你的代币余额数量会相应增加。
使用订单输入面板，出租 WAX 和取回 WAX。输入你想出租的代币数量，然后点击“Place Order(提交订单)”按钮。
如果你出租 WAX，会得到 CWAX 代币作为带息凭证。
下图的例子中，你可以见到 75 WAX 是可用余额(在个人钱包账户中), 存入了 15 WAX (这部分代币存储在 Chintai 合约中，可以提取，出租或者冲抵租赁手续费), 另外，还有 10 WAX 正在出租中（相当于 9.999210 CWAX）。

CWAX 可以在任何时候兑换为 WAX，即取消出借。想要赎回 CWAX，可以在订单输入面板中找到 “Unlend”的标签。
输入要兑回的 CWAX 数量，然后点击 “Place Order（提交订单）”按钮。
提交后，你可以取回之前出租的 WAX 代币，外加利息收益。
此时 WAX 代币位于你的 Chintai 合约账号中，你可以随时提取到你自己的钱包账号中。

代币租借指南

租借 WAX 代币时，你需要用 WAX 代币支付利息，因此，第一步跟上面的操作是一样的，也需要先登录并存入一定的 WAX 代币。
操作完成后，你可以使用订单提交面板，根据需要租借代币。
在价格图上方面板中的信息，可以帮你参考当前的利率和可以出租的 WAX 代币数量。

选择需要使用 CPU 资源的账号，在交易提交后，系统会自动为该账号分配 CPU/NET 资源。
你可以设定 “max interest(最高利息）”，确保您不会支付过多的利息。
成功提交订单之后，订单的有效期为三十天。

CWAX 토큰

임대인은 WAX 토큰을 임대 풀 스마트 계약에 입금하고 “CWAX” 토큰을 받습니다. CWAX 토큰은 언제든지 WAX 토큰으로 교환 할 수 있습니다. CWAX에 대한 대가로, 임대인은 원래의 예치된 WAX 토큰과 차입 수수료로 발생한 이자를 받습니다.

참고: CWAX에 교환시 원금보다 더 적은 WAX 토큰을 받을 수 없습니다. CWAX의 가격은 항상 올라가기 때문에 WAX를 빌려줌으로써 수량 손실을 입지 않습니다.
