Chintai is an agile decentralized finance (DeFi) engine for leasing, launching, and trading digital assets. Everything from leasing and trading NFTs, launching STOs, to providing end-to-end services for decentralized bond issuances is within our scope. With so many unique tokens and potential use cases being serviced by Chintai, highly specific front-end user interfaces will be required to optimize user experience. Similar to how a platform like Youtube offers the means for anyone to share custom videos, Chintai will provide tools for anyone to host their own custom DeFi products that use our infrastructure.
The traditional Chintai exchange format will remain. But we recognize that in many cases our user interface (UI) won’t offer the best user experience (UX). Nor do we have industry specific expertise and manpower to create UI’s for niche interests. That’s why we created the Chintai Merchant Network. Anyone will be able to create their own custom UI, set their own fees and use our engine in the background to generate revenue for business expansion — DeFi done for you.
Expansion & Growth
The barriers to leveraging blockchain are numerous and difficult to overcome. Building a on-chain engine and order management system (OMS) that can power DeFi instruments is very difficult. Without an on-chain engine, many of the promises of DeFi can only be dreams, but not reality. The Chintai Merchant network removes development costs and barriers by providing a simple way to seamlessly integrate and generate revenue by using our infrastructure. This win-win scenario means high quality tools in the hands of entrepreneurs to grow their businesses using blockchain, while Chintai expands its reach as a service provider.
The Liquidity Problem
Order books are often isolated on separate exchange platforms, leading to fractionalized markets that lack ample liquidity. Lacking liquidity means there aren’t enough orders to easily buy or sell a given asset without major price slippage. Furthermore, the true market rate is left undetermined and trading opportunities are paralyzed. The Merchant Network helps alleviate these problems by enabling all Merchants to share the same order book across the Chintai exchange. All of the Chintai Merchants will be united with one shared source of liquidity — no fractionalization of markets.
Over time this model will lead a collective order book with substantial capital depth, regardless of a Merchant market size for a given asset. Increased liquidity encourages healthy market formation, price discovery, and makes exchange between peers easier. And rather than orders being fractionalized until they accumulate on a single market place, the Merchant Network decentralizes delivery methods for a given market, which stimulates healthy competition.
Use Case — Bond Issuances & Trading
The $109 trillion global bond market is primarily monopolized by major banks. These banks have superior depth of capital, services, and geographic reach — they control the infrastructure that enables bond issuance, handling, and trading. Consequently, the existing system for issuing and trading bonds is very restrictive, expensive and inefficient. Without going through the gatekeepers, even some large companies cannot utilize bond instruments because issuance costs outweigh the amount of capital raised.
Data reconciliation between financial entities during the trade matching and settlement process is a main reason for high issuance costs. Without a shared source of reliable information, institutions have to reconcile their internal transaction records manually. Institutions frequently use different methodologies for categorizing and storing data, making discrepancies between records commonplace. This results in massive amounts of time and money wasted. Countless hours and resources are spent on thousands of highly educated individuals who are paid large salaries to reconcile shared data. Inevitably these costs are passed onto investors and businesses.
Blockchain technology enables a shared source of data that is virtually impossible to corrupt or hack. By having a “golden source” of shared data, the costs of reconciliation in bond markets can be reduced to virtually nothing. These cost savings alone would dramatically lower the barrier for businesses to access working capital for expansion. But without an on-chain order management system and the right tools, it’s very difficult to unlock the advantages of blockchain.
By using the Merchant Network, bond issuers, challenger banks and global financial institutions will be able to easily set up their own, regulated markets, without having to spend time and capital building a bespoke on-chain OMS. This will allow merchants to focus on delivery to their customers, with the blockchain working unseen in the background. This transition could fuel an opportunity for democratized access to one of the most important financial instruments for businesses to grow and thrive.
Use Case — NFT Leasing & Trading
We anticipate the expansion of NFT usage in gaming to increase significantly. WAX estimates $50 billion in virtual asset trading alone. And this figure could be the tip of the iceberg in an industry that is growing exponentially. But we won’t be positioned, nor will we have the expertise, to build custom UI’s for every game and their NFTs.
The Chintai Merchant Network will allow any game enthusiast or developer to easily integrate NFT leasing into their game, or custom store front. This enables experts in their craft to fine tune UX for their audience. The end-user does not need to see or know about Chintai, which is especially important as blockchain based solutions get introduced into the fabric of existing products and industry.
For example, game development can be thought of as an artistic endeavor to create an environment with a set of potential experiences. Forcing people to access the benefits of blockchain by exiting the experience of the game and using the Chintai exchange would be unreasonable. The Merchant Network allows for NFT leasing and trading to be seamlessly integrated into games. And if anyone wants to setup a secondary market place they could easily do so with a custom UI that reflects the experiences of a specific game and interests of a given community.
Pilot Program
Chintai is currently formalizing partnerships to enable the use of the Chintai Merchant Network in Fin-Tech and Real Estate. We anticipate making public announcements in the coming weeks, which will extensively detail the nature of the partnerships and the associated use cases.
Until then we are working with Boid and Bloks.io to pilot and test our infrastructure. Boid will use the Merchant Network to seamlessly enable BOID token leasing for their users in the Boid interface, resulting in optimized use of network potential. Bloks.io will install the Chintai UI directly into Bloks.io. These two implementations will allow us to test our infrastructure and build a foundation to efficiently scale the Merchant Network to other use cases.

业务增长与扩展
诸多企业看好区块链，但是，在利用区块链技术之时，往往遇到诸多坎坷和障碍，使得前路崎岖。建立一套链上引擎和订单管理系统(Order Management System, 简称 OMS), 为各类 DeFi 工具与服务提供支持，也是困难重重。
但是，如果缺乏链上引擎，DeFi 的诸多承诺只能停留在梦想之中，无法照进现实。

流动性问题
不同的交易所或不同的交易平台，订单往往相互隔离，互不相通，导致了流动性缺乏。
缺乏交易流动性意味着交易价格往往波动剧烈，想要成交，往往没有足够的订单可以撮合。此外，实际市场手续费无法确知，难以达成交易。
